$15 per class. Four Classes per Month.
$60 to be prepaid one month in advance.
No Refunds. Missed classes to be rescheduled with teacher.
Each Class is a group lesson. (minimum 4 students per class)
Nonmembers $50 additional fee.

Attention all Chinese Musical Instrument Enthusiasts!!
The Center’s Chinese Musical Instruments Program was re-started in the Fall of September 2006. Currently classes offered for Gu-Zheng instrument.
Ms. Jun Qin is currently the music instructor. She graduated from the Sichuan Conservatory of Music, in China. She is a member of the Sichuan Branch of the Musician Society of China, and worked in the Chinese Emei Film Studio. She was the first prize winner of the International Chinese Music Instruments Contest. Ms. Qin was given the “Excellent Teacher’s Award” in China. Her performances have been recored in movies, NBC TV, and on CDs. She has appeared at Lincoln Center, Julliard School of Music, Columbia Univeristy, Harvard University, as well as Atlantic City, Boston, Washington D.C., Chicago, San Fransisco, and Paris.
The word “music” in Chinese is pronounced as “le”, meaning “happiness” or “enjoyment”. The origins of Chinese music can be traced back to approximately 3,000 years ago, when European music was just experiencing its first rustlings of life. A complete musical theory and sophisticated musical instruments began appearing in China, owing largely to the orthodox ritual music advocated by Confucius. The instruments can be divided into four basic categories based on the method by which they are played: “blown”, “bowed”, “plucked” and “struck” instruments.
