Traditional Chinese Dance Classes
Join the CCLI Dance Ensemble on Sundays. Dance classes are available for students from ages 3 to teens. Some of the dances taught include the RIBBON dance, the CHINESE FAN dance, the LITTLE DRUM dance, the TEACUP FOLK dance, the HANDKERCHIEF dance, the TAMBOURINE dance, the Sword dance, the UMPBRELLA dance, the XIN JIANG dance, the BOW dance, the GOLDFISH dance, and the PEACOCK dance.
The CCLI Dance Ensemble has been called upon to perform at various charity functions and cultural events throughout the year. The intermediate class has performed in Madison Square Garden for the Knicks at half-time. Most recently preformed at Long Island Children’s Museum and Chinese American Night at Eisenhower Park. Annually, the dancers delight all attendees at our Chinese New Year's Banquet with their performances.
Currently, the classes are taught by Ms. Karen Chen, an award-winning dancer and choreographer from Beijing China.
